4th International event “Deventer Wereldstad” 2016

NetSib Foundation attended the bi-annual Deventer Wereldstad event at Deventer Schouwburg on Sunday, the 6th of November.

Over 1.000 visitors attended the 4th edition of the international event Deventer Wereldstad. Deventer's mayor, Andries Heidema, opened the event and was the first to add his wish to the Gobal Goals time capsule.

At the "world market" the visitors could meet the various NGO’s, active across the world, and some of their partners: students, different organizations, companies, municipalities as wel as the embassy. NetSib answered the questions of those interested in the relationship between the regions of Sibiu and Deventer as well as Deventer Wereldstad and International Office Deventer. We also screened a digital photo presentation about Sibiu, with photos by Sebastian Marcovici.

The public could also enjoy the One World Jam music session, coordinated by Henk van Glabbeek, that brings together musicians with many cultural backgrounds, like Kurdish, Armenian, Turkish, Dutch, Asian or French, showing how to celebrate the colors and sounds of the world.

Also on the programme were dance shows, a photo booth by Romanian artist Viorica Cernica, debates, storytelling, workshops, a Uganda-conference and of course delicious international snacks.
