About Us

NetSib Foundation is a small network organization (non-profit) , founded in 2006 with boardmembers who have been involved in de relationship and cooperation between Sibiu and Deventer since the beginning in December 1989. Before NetSib we worked as volunteers in Deventer-Romania Foundation (NGO). All of us also have experience and expertise in our professional jobs with international cooperation and/or business.

NetSib stands for:

  • “Virtual” non-profit network organisation
  • delivering added value to international cooperation by connecting people,  international experience, expertise, knowledge exchange
  • our focus group is mainly young people
  • focus areas are mainly education, art and culture and social engagement

NetSib's slogan is: Young in Europe, think global, act local!

How it started:

Attached you can find the attachement “Partnership of equal merits etc.”

This document is a copy of the chapter “Partnership of Equal Merits. A Solitary Collector brings a town into motion” from the Book 2000 Years of Inter-European East-West Relations – case study: Romania – The Netherlands. This chapter is written with our input by Mr. J. van Lidth de Jeude (at that time mayor of Deventer) and Mr. C.M. Hogenstijn (City Archive and Athenaeum Library Deventer). The book was launched in 2005.
